Weimar: To The Caberet! 2019

Weimar: To The Caberet! was a video design created for the Philharmonia Orchestra for a concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in September 2019. Conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen and directed by Gerard McBurney, the concert was a walk through the Weimar Republic through street, caberet and military songs.

Gerard and Amelia worked together on the concept of the visual design, following their collaboration on Hungariana for the Barbican. Once the style was established, Amelia worked to collate imagery from Berlin in the 1920-1930s to create the visuals design for the music of the ninety minute concert.
